a collage of different pictures of buildings

As a city of retirement and education, Malang naturally creates a unique contrast between the elderly and the young. The elderly are comfortable with the familiarity of analog works while the young are excited to the dynamism of contemporary works.

These differing each spaces preferences, making it rare to find common ground between the two groups.

In the context of urban life,

the first place refers to the home, and the second place is workplace or school. The third place, serves

as a social environment where diverse groups can socialize each other.

Relatedly, we realize restaurants should be designed to evoke a sense of familiarity for the elderly while introducing gem values to the young.

Giving a chance to

experience what already exists.
